Kure Takes Home Scholar-Athlete Award At Annual Honors Convocation Ceremony

Senior defender Abdullahi Kure (Corona, NY) received the Scholar-Athlete award during the Vaughn College Annual Honors Convocation Ceremony on Wednesday, May 10. The Scholar-Athlete award is  presented to the graduating student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA (minimum of a 3.5 GPA) amongst all student-athletes while attending Vaughn College. Recipients must have played at least two years of varsity athletics.

Kure competed on the men's soccer team all four years he attended Vaughn College. He helped the men's soccer team to two Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) post season semifinals appearances. Kure finished his athletic and academic career at Vaughn College with a 3.8 GPA.
